Mazda Eunos 1.6 V-Special 1992
The Mazda Eunos V-Special edition has a great spec and they always sell really well. Therefore I always make sure I have a least one in stock at all times. This is the latest one offered for sale: its a 1992 model and has covered around 178700km (about 111700 miles) and is in lovely condition. Finished in Neo Green with tan leather seats and trim, it looks just lovely.
Specification includes electric windows, power steering, stainless steel sill tread plates, Nardi steering wheel and matching gear knob and Lockwood white dials.
Its recently had a bit of a big refresh with good quality repairs to inner and outer sills which were carried out by an excellent MX5 bodywork specialist(with receipt), various ball joints replaced, steering rack gaiters replaced, new track rod ends, new brake pads and discs all round, new front brake calipers and new rear springs. The 14” seven spoke alloys have recently been powder-coated and are fitted with nice set of Uniroyal Rainsport tyres. Its also just had a full service (new oil and filter, spark plugs and leads, cone air filter cleaned etc). Its also just had a new CAS ‘O’ ring seal and a new cam cover gasket and it will have a new MOT prior to its sale.
Bodywork is very good with no rust on sills, wheels arches or wings and paintwork is good too. Its fitted with a black vinyl roof complete with zip-out plastic window and stainless steel style bar. Its just had its 80+ point check over and its pretty good underneath with just some minor surface corrosion on subframes and some suspension components but all in good working order. It will have its underside treated with Dynax over the next few days too.
Inside its all in nice and presentable condition. the dashboard is in good order with no cracks or damage. The Nardi steering wheel and gear knob have recently been replaced along with a new leather gear gaitor. Carpets and door trims are in good condition and it has a new set of tan carpet mats. Negative points include some wear to the driver’s seat bolster, some minor damage to the top of a headrest and a stonechip in the bottom corner of the windscreen. The air con system no longer works and has been partially removed. The interior is genuinely a nice place to be with a really lovely feel to it.
Mechanically its all in good order. I’ve already covered a good 250 miles in this and it drives very well indeed with a strong engine thats happy to be revved to the redline and a nice gearchange. As is typical of an MX5, its starts instantly, runs beautifully and is a pleasure to drive. There are no weird noises or rattles and ride quality and handling are very good indeed. There is a large file full of old receipts and old MOT certificates. From what I know, one particular chap owned this for 10+ years and has clearly looked after it well. Its been owned by an MX5 enthusiast for the last three years and again, its been well maintained. There are two keys and an owner’s handbook along with the original spare wheel and jack etc. Any inspection is most welcome but as ever, I should remind you that this is a 34 year old car.
